Flexible Schedule

Our company allows for a very flexible schedule, based on parents and therapists needs. We allow therapists to accept/decline clients based on their skill sets which allow for us to accommodate the family’s needs. For those clients who have difficulty with transportation or scheduling, we provide services in their home, grandmother’s home, daycares or wherever the child is throughout the day. Our administrative staff is supportive of our therapists and office staff, even with personal or family issues. Independent Living Inc. understands that family comes first, which is one of the reasons that we have been so successful over the years.

Largest home-based care provider in Tampa Bay

In comparison to our competitors, Independent Living Inc. Pediatric Therapy has the largest number of pediatric therapists providing home-based care in the Tampa Bay area and continues to grow steadily. This allows us to be the only company who can provide home-based, pediatric therapy throughout Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Polk, Manatee, and Sarasota Counties.

We offer several options for service

Independent Living Inc. Pediatric Therapy is the only pediatric therapy company in the Tampa Bay area that provides services in three different locations. These locations include home-based care, outpatient clinics and public/private schools. Our competitors do not have all three of these components. Having several places of service offers clients and their families many options. It also gives diversity to employees by being able to choose from home-based, outpatient or school based therapy. Many of our therapists choose one, two or all three different therapy locations.

We are a team

We motivate our employees by conducting team building activities at the beginning of every meeting. We frequently hold potlucks to celebrate weddings, baby showers, holidays, sporting events and other silly reasons to bring food and have fun in the middle of a work week. Our staff’s ethnic backgrounds are very diverse allowing us to enjoy many types of cuisine.

Certified for CEUs

Another unique quality about Independent Living Inc. Pediatric Therapy is that we are certified by the State of Florida to provide continuing education units (CEUs) for physical, occupational and speech therapists. The Department of Health requires CEUs for all therapists to maintain their professional licensure. We offer these services to our therapists, as well as, other therapists in the community who are not employed with Independent Living Inc. Pediatric Therapy.

Independent Living Inc. Pediatric Therapy hosts many continuing education opportunities throughout the year that are either no cost or low cost to the employee. This allows therapists to easily acquire the 30+ continuing education hours for their license renewal each year. We host popular CEU courses from well-respected organizations in our outpatient clinic in Citrus Park. Therapists would typically have to pay for lodging and travel to attend these courses; however, since we host them, it saves them time and money. It is well appreciated by all staff members.
