Dr. Sutton, Ph.D., BCBA provides services for Independent Living Inc. She has been providing clinical services to individuals with autism and related disabilities for more than 20 years.

She received her BS in Psychology from UC San Diego, an MSW from UC Berkeley, and a MS/PH.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Miami. Her diverse experiences in autism include assessment, intervention, college-level teaching, and research. Dr. Sutton helped develop and direct internationally recognized autism clinics at the University of Miami and the University of South Florida.

Dr. Sutton is trained in developmentally-based play therapy, Applied Behavior Analysis, and Pivotal Response Training, as well as in the administration of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) and Autism Diagnostic Interview – Revised (ADI-R). She has provided consultation services to families, schools, and community agencies throughout the United States and abroad. Dr. Sutton’s work on autism has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals.
