EARLY INTERVENTIONISTS (EI) &
INFANT TODDLER DEVELOPMENTAL SPECIALISTS (ITDS)
Independent Living Inc. Pediatric Therapy is currently seeking Early Interventionists and Infant Toddler Developmental Specialists to work specifically with children ages Birth to three with special needs and their families. The EI/ITDS will provide developmentally appropriate services to promote mastery of goals identified in the Individual Family Support Plan. Services may include direct service, parent/caregiver training, developmental screening/assessment, and collaboration with other disciplines providing treatment as part of the child and family’s team.
Early Interventionists and Infant Toddler Developmental Specialists must have a willingness to provide services in homes, daycare, or community settings where children experience their daily routines. An EI/ITDS must be able to demonstrate the coaching and consultative model through weekly session notes, as well as quarterly progress notes addressing progress made towards the goals set forth in a child’s Individual Family Support Plan. Early Intervention providers must be licensed in an allied health or educational field. Infant Toddler Developmental Specialists must be certified as an ITDS. This position requires enrollment as a CMS Early Steps Provider and approval as a Medicaid Provider.
New graduates are encouraged to apply as well as experienced therapists. Mentorship programs are available for new graduates. The company encourages the therapists to establish their own schedule and work the number of hours they prefer depending on their hire status.
