Independent Living Inc. Pediatric Therapy’s occupational therapy services help children develop all the skills they need for the many “jobs” of childhood, including play, self-care, and school related performance.
Occupational therapists provide therapy to meet the needs of their clients in the areas of activities of daily living, sensory processing skills, visual perceptual/visual motor, fine motor and gross motor skills, attention span, and handwriting abilities. Your therapist will perform comprehensive developmental, musculoskeletal, neurological or oral motor evaluations to identify areas of difficulties and establish a baseline status.
Working closely with family members, educators and other healthcare providers, your therapist will design a treatment program directed toward meeting specific measurable behavioral long and short term goals intended to improve functional performance.
